Second Quarter Summary 2025

The second quarter of 2025 has been a particularly active and rewarding period for Harlyn Solutions, with a sharp focus on project execution and operational growth. Q2 was defined by an intense schedule of vessel mobilisations, reflecting both increased client demand and Harlyn’s growing reputation as a trusted partner for complex offshore logistics and engineering coordination.

A standout achievement was the successful mobilisation of the JD Assister for Helix Robotics Solutions, where Harlyn managed the secure loading of the i-Plough subsea trenching system at the Port of Blyth. This operation showcased the team’s precision planning, technical oversight, and seamless collaboration with port authorities and marine contractors—delivering under pressure and on schedule.

Alongside its operational and talent development efforts, the Harlyn team has been highly active in client engagement throughout the quarter. Team members travelled across the UK and Europe to meet clients face-to-face, reinforcing key relationships and exploring new opportunities. Attendance at major industry events—including Breakbulk Europe in Rotterdam, Wind Hamburg and Global Offshore Wind—allowed Harlyn to connect with new potential partners, strengthen ties with existing ones, and stay closely aligned with evolving sector trends. These in-person interactions continue to be vital in building trust, deepening collaboration, and positioning Harlyn as a responsive and forward-thinking partner in the offshore logistics and engineering space.

The quarter also marked a strategic investment in future talent and workforce capacity. The Harlyn website was updated to better showcase graduate opportunities, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to developing the next generation of offshore professionals. This initiative was complemented by outreach visits to local schools across Northumberland, where Harlyn team members provided students with insights into the offshore industry and the various pathways into it. With new graduate engineers set to join the company soon, they will embark on hands-on development alongside experienced mentors, gaining practical experience across a wide range of engineering and operational disciplines.

To meet the growing scope and scale of active and upcoming projects, Harlyn further strengthened its on-site delivery capability by expanding its team of site operatives including a young apprentice who has became apart of our projects team, learning the practical and theoretical skills of the industry and applying it directly. These additions ensure that the company remains agile and fully resourced as it takes on increasingly demanding mobilisations and fieldwork across the offshore sector, spanning sites across the globe.

Q2 has reinforced Harlyn’s position as a technically confident, people-focused business that delivers under real-world conditions. The busy cadence of projects and team growth not only reflects operational momentum but also sets a strong foundation heading into the second half of the year.
