Unusual Cargo Movement

Moving complex or unusual things, to and from complex or unusual places requires innovative thinking. We create unique engineered solutions that resolve those challenges, all successfully delivered by our own operational team. We provide a full service, which operates as a simple plug-in for your organisation. From feasibility, through design, execution and close-out, we have the depth to cover it all.

Moving The Incredible

Often, our customers have manufactured something that has never been produced before. We’ve worked with  innovative tidal turbines, and bespoke linkspans for example. With something so unique, there is no existing method to transport it.

That’s where we come in.

With our years of transportation engineering knowledge and a team, we develop bold solutions that go beyond the ‘run-of-the-mill’ answers. We work with you and alongside you to find iterations that dovetail with your designs.

We have a team of experts including naval architects, mechanical engineers, design engineers and operations experts. Together, we approach your challenge holistically.

While some of our solutions may be unique, you can be confident that we will execute it successfully. Take a look at some of our case studies for examples of our creative engineering. Often the bold solutions minimise the risk in the project and make it more cost-effective.

Reaching unusual locations

We have customers who need to move more standard cargo, but their destination is  far removed from the ordinary. These unusual places can only receive the goods with a specially-engineered location construction in place. Or, they need a completely different approach to the traditional transport methodologies.

We design the solution to receive cargo in unusual places.

Full service in safe hands

We apply our broad know-how to your full-service requirement to evaluate the best solution for your transportation challenge.

Starting with feasibility, we know what questions to ask to find the best solution for you. We also know where to look to find the most suitable assets, equipment, and port facilities.

We work hand-in-hand with you to design and plan the execution. We identify where the problems lie and how to solve them. We also have access to a global network to deliver our full service projects quickly and successfully.

Your Trusted
Partner

Our global customers who need help moving unusual cargo or transporting things to unusual locations share one commonality: they all value our open-thinking approach.

At the heart of this approach is simplicity. With our embedded experience, we focus on bringing together our depth of engineering know-how to understand the wider challenges of a problem. We seek creative solutions that aim for simplicity.

While the delivered solution may be complex, the clarity of simplicity in our approach reduces risk, controls cost, and ensures transparency with our customers.

We have helped find solutions to many unusual challenges. We’ve lifted cranes into locations with incredibly limited access, moved a repurposed hospital block up the Amazon, and transported a tidal turbine via road transport.

Our team supports clients on long-term contracts and at short notice. With our worldwide presence, we can deploy our team from locations close to site or provide one of our subject matter experts depending on the project’s requirements.

Our process: an end-to-end solution

We begin by helping you through the front-end engineering (FEED). We find the right questions to ask to identify the problem. And then we work on finding the right solution path.

We put together the operational plan with documentation and storyboarding.

At the execution stage, our global network in the supply chain enables us to work with the lowest risk and highest cost-benefit partners. Our operations team execute the project with a hands-on approach, knowing that success in delivery comes from driving the project on-site.

We have a multi-disciplinary team to deliver our end-to-end transportation service. We know how to work across multiple interfaces and how best to manage these interfaces and hand-offs.
