So far, 2026 has seen Harlyn Solutions continue its momentum with active project delivery for new and existing clients across the UK and beyond, investment in operational capability, and continued growth across the offshore energy sector.
As demand across UK offshore wind and wider marine infrastructure increases, our focus remains clear: help clients reduce delivery risk, protect programme schedules, and execute complex scopes safely and efficiently.
Through engineering-led planning, flexible delivery models, and hands-on operational experience, we continued to strengthen our position as a trusted partner to developers, EPCI Contractors, cable manufacturers, ports, and OEMs over the last six months – here are just a few of the thing we are most proud of.
Project Execution Partner – Delivery Where it Matters
Over the past six months, our teams have delivered critical project support across the UK and Europe, helping clients keep complex offshore and marine programmes moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Working through challenging late-winter conditions on the Scottish coast, the project showcased the resilience, planning, and operational discipline required to execute complex offshore projects.
At our home base in Blyth, we completed a technically demanding load-out using our SPMTs to transport unique critical equipment from quayside to workshop set down. Delivered within a two-day vessel turnaround from arrival to departure, the operation highlighted the responsive port logistics capability we continue to develop and invest in here in the North East.
The last six months have also seen us, mobilise a vessel supporting a major offshore windfarm development. Within an exceptionally tight timeframe, our teams in Rotterdam and Blyth completed a turnkey vessel mobilisation, from engineering and equipment selection through to execution. Managing engineering, logistics and execution across multi-locations, the project demonstrated our ability to provide clients with a single point of accountability for complex, multi-site delivery programmes.
Our teams have also remained active across Europe, supporting clients on multiple projects requiring short-notice engineering, logistics, and mobilisation solutions. Whether responding to programme changes, vessel schedules or emerging project needs, delivering practical solutions at pace continues to be a defining part of our approach. To support this going forward, we have also continued to strengthen our operational capability. We have invested in new equipment to enhance transport, storage, handling, and controlled spooling operations for subsea cable and associated infrastructure. This positions us to support the next wave of offshore energy projects, particularly as momentum builds towards the Crown Estate’s Round 6 offshore wind leasing programme in 2027.
Increased Capacity for Delivery
Growth is about more than increasing capacity – it’s about creating the foundations to deliver better outcomes for our clients.
At the start of the year, we completed the move into our new Blyth headquarters, providing a central hub for our growth team and creating the space needed to support the next phase of our development. The investment strengthens our operational presence in one of the UK’s fastest-growing offshore energy clusters while giving our teams greater capability to plan, coordinate, and deliver increasingly complex projects.
Alongside these investments, we have continued to strengthen the systems and standards that underpin our delivery. Team members completed Fire Warden training as part of our ongoing commitment to building a robust HSE culture. As our office footprint, mobilisation facilities and workforce continue to grow, we remain focussed on ensuring our people have the skills, training and confidence to maintain the highest standards across every project and location.
Talent and Transformation – investing in our team of experts
That commitment to our people is reflected across the business. We were delighted to announce the internal promotion of Chloe Grier to Head of Finance. Chloe’s progression highlights our focus on developing talent from within and recognising the expertise, dedication, and leadership that help drive the business forward.
During National Apprenticeship Week, we also reaffirmed our commitment to supporting the next generation of offshore energy professionals. As a Blyth-grown engineering and logistics company, investing in local talent and creating genuine career pathways remains central to our long-term vision and the future of both our business and the wider industry.
Staying close to the market
Strong relationship and industry insight remain central to how we operate. Over the past six months, our team has been active across the UK offshore energy sector, engaging with clients, partners, future talent and the communities that support our industry.
One of the highlights was attending Subsea Expo 2026 in Aberdeen, where we were proud to be nominated for Company of the Year. As one the most important dates in the UK offshore calendar, it provided as opportunity to reconnect with industry peers in an important operating region, celebrate achievements across the sector and reflect on our own growth journey.
Closer to home, we continued our involvement with Energy Central Campus at the Port of Blyth through the Festival of Energy and Green Energy Careers Roadshow. Speaking with students about careers in offshore energy was a reminder of the opportunities being created by the sector and the importance of inspiring the next generation of engineers, project managers and operational specialists.
Staying closely connected with major regional stakeholders provides valuable industry insight and keeps us engaged with the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector. We are proud to be part of Energi Coast, supporting the growth of the North East offshore wind supply chain and helping drive opportunity across the region.
Looking Ahead
The first half of 2026 has been defined by delivery, growth, and investment. From supporting offshore operations across the UK and Europe to expanding our Blyth facilities and operational capability, we’ve continued to build the foundations for the next phase of growth.
As offshore wind and marine infrastructure activity accelerates, demand for experienced, delivery-focused partners continues to grow. With enhanced project logistics capabilities, Harlyn is well positioned to support clients as projects move from planning into execution.
The anticipated launch of the Crown Estate’s Round 6 leasing programme represents a significant opportunity for the sector and the North East. By investing early and building capability ahead of demand, we’re preparing to support developers, EPCIs, OEMs, and project partners as activity increases.
While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved over the past six months, our focus remains firmly on what’s next.
If you’re planning mobilisation, cable handling, transport, storage, or port logistics scopes in 2026, we’d welcome the opportunity to talk.
